A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO BE ALLOCA TED TO THE NORTH CAR OLINA 2
COALITION AGAINST SE XUAL ASSAULT AND DIS TRIBUTED TO VICTIM 3
ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of 6
Public Safety the sum of ten million dollars ($10,000,000) in recurring funds for the 2025 -2026 7
fiscal year to be allocated as a directed grant to the North Carolina Coalition Against Sexua l 8
Assault, a nonprofit corporation, to be used to allocate funds to partner organizations, including 9
domestic violence organizations, rape crisis centers, and child advocacy centers, to use for victim 10
advocacy. 11
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 12
