A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO THE CHARLOTTE MECKLENBURG LIBRARY 2
FOUNDATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW MAIN LIBRARY. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 5
Budget and Management the sum of five million dollars ($5,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for 6
the 2025 -2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library 7
Foundation, a nonprofit organization, for the construction of the new main library. 8
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 9
