A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO THE MCCROREY YMCA OF CHARLOTTE FOR 2
ITS FLYING CLASSROOM PROGRAM. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 5
Budget and Management the sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) in nonrecurring 6
funds for the 2025 -2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the Young Men's Christian 7
Association of Greater Charlotte to enable the McCrorey YMCA to provide its Flying Classroom 8
program, a unique educational experience that facilitates student engagement through 9
expeditionary and immersive learning experiences in science, technology, mathematic s, and 10
literacy. 11
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 12
