AN ACT TO APPROPRIAT E FUNDS FOR MIDDLE S CHOOL EDUCATIONAL 2
PROGRAMMING PROVIDED BY THE NONPROFIT CO RPORATION VOICES 3
TOGETHER. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of 6
Public Instruction the sum of two million five hundred thousand dollars ($2,500,000) in recurring 7
funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year to be provided to the nonprofit corporation Voices Together. 8
The purpose of the funding is to provide pr ogramming that is preparatory for Pre -Employment 9
Transition Services to middle school students who encounter delays or who have intellectual and 10
developmental disabilities in North Carolina school systems where Voices Together provides 11
programming at the high school level. 12
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 13
