A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE REPAI R AND IMPROVEMENT OF 2
VARIOUS ORPHAN ROADS IN DURHAM COUNTY. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 5
Budget and Management the sum of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) in nonrecurring 6
funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to Durham County for the repair 7
and improvement of various orphan roads in non -municipal areas of the County, which would 8
allow the North Carolina Department of Transportation to accept these roads for State 9
maintenance. 10
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 11
