A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIAT E FUNDS TO CAREE TO SUPPORT ITS TRANSITI ONAL 2
HOUSING EFFORTS IN PITT COUNTY. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 5
Budget and Management the sum of fifty-five thousand dollars ($55,000) in nonrecurring funds 6
for the 2025-2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to Citizens Advocating for Racial Equity 7
and Equality (CAREE), a nonprofit organization, to support the organization's transitional 8
housing efforts in Pitt County. 9
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 10
