A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO REQUIRE SC HOOLS TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE ALL APPROPR IATE 2
EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO ACADEMICALLY OR INTELLECTUALLY GIFTED 3
STUDENTS IF THE STUD ENT IS PLACED INTO A N ALTERNATIVE LEARNI NG 4
PROGRAM OR SCHOOL. 5
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 6
SECTION 1. G.S. 115C-150.7(b) is amended by adding a new subdivision to read: 7
"(7a) A procedure for continuing to provide servi ces to a child who is placed into 8
an alternative learning program or alternative school pursuant to Article 8C of 9
this Chapter." 10
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law. 11
