A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO ENACT THE INVESTING IN DURHAM' S EDUCATION AND ATHL ETIC 2
(IDEA) INFRASTRUCTURE ACT. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to Durham County the 5
nonrecurring sum of four million five hundred thousand dollars ($4,500,000) for the 2025 -2026 6
fiscal year to be used for capital improvements to, and repairs and renovations needs due to 7
deferred maintenance on, (i) public school buildings and athletic fields and (ii) other public 8
school facilities. 9
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 10
