A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO PROVIDE FU NDING FOR CAPITAL IM PROVEMENT PROJECTS A T 2
NORTH CAROLINA AGRIC ULTURAL AND TECHNICA L UNIVERSITY AND 3
WINSTON-SALEM STATE UNIVERSITY. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the State Capital and Infrastructure Fund, 6
established in G.S. 143C-3-4.1(a), to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina 7
the sum of two hundred thirty -seven million five hundred thousand dollars ($237,500,000 ) in 8
nonrecurring funds for the 2025 -2026 fiscal year to be allocated to the constituent institutions 9
listed in this section for the amounts provided and the projects identified as follows: 10
(1) One hundred twenty -five million dollars ($125,000,000) to Nort h Carolina 11
Agricultural & Technical State University to be used for the Agricultural 12
Research Classroom. 13
(2) One hundred twelve million five hundred thousand dollars ($112,500,000) to 14
Winston-Salem State University to be used for the Health, Physical Education, 15
and Recreation Complex. 16
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 17
