AN ACT TO INCREASE A CCESS TO FEMININE HY GIENE PRODUCTS IN NO RTH 2
CAROLINA DIAPER BANK S AND TO INCREASE FU NDS FOR THE FEMININE 3
HYGIENE PROGRAM. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of 6
Health and Human Services the sum of three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) in 7
nonrecurring funds for the 2025 -2026 fiscal year to be allocated to the Diaper Bank of North 8
Carolina, a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes diapers and other personal hygiene 9
products to assist those in need and to increase the accessibility of feminine hygiene products in 10
local diaper banks throughout the State. 11
SECTION 2. There is appropriated from the General Fund t o the Department of 12
Public Instruction the sum of one million dollars ($1,000,000) in recurring funds for the 13
2025-2026 fiscal year to fund the Feminine Hygiene Products Grant Program under 14
G.S. 115C-377. 15
SECTION 3. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 16
