A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO ESTABLISH JANUARY FOURTEENTH O F EACH YEAR AS TAMIL 2
PONGAL DAY IN NORTH CAROLINA. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. Chapter 103 of the General Statutes is amended by adding a new 5
section to read: 6
"§ 103-19. Tamil Pongal Day. 7
The fourteenth day of January of each year is designated a s Tamil Pongal Day in North 8
Carolina." 9
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law. 10
