A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN 2
SERVICES, DIVISION O F SOCIAL SERVICES, T O REDUCE THE COUNTY SHARE 3
OF PAYMENTS FOR THE STATE-COUNTY SPECIAL ASSISTANCE IN -HOME 4
PROGRAM. 5
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 6
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of 7
Health and Human Services, Division of Social Services, the sum of five hundred thousand 8
dollars ($500,000) in recurring funds beginning with the 2026 -2027 fiscal year to reduce the 9
county share of payments for the State-County Special Assistance in-home program. 10
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2026. 11
