A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO FORSYTH TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE 2
FOR CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR FIRST RESPONDER 3
TRAINING. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to Forsyth Technical 6
Community College the sum of ten million four hundred thousand dollars ($10,400,000) in 7
nonrecurring funds for the 2026 -2027 fiscal year for construction related to, and equipment 8
necessary for, expansion of training capacity and improvement of readiness and safety through a 9
comprehensive first responder program, including a training track, building, bridge, classrooms, 10
and fire apparatus. 11
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2026. 12
