A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Monroe Central High School boys basketball team on winning the
2025 Division VI State Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Monroe Central High
School boys basketball team as the 2025 Division VI State Champion;
and

WHEREAS,
The members of the Monroe Central High School boys basketball team
are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly
exceptional competitors. During the 2024-2025 season, the Seminoles
won the 2025 Division VI State Championship title, defeating their
opponents from Maria Stein 43-35, and the unwavering commitment of
the players and coaches has earned them the esteem of many. They are
certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
Coaches Jon Perkins and Mason Lang have demonstrated remarkable
energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Monroe Central High
School boys basketball team to victory, and their skill is reflected
in the squad’s outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to their
tireless efforts, the members have distinguished themselves on the
court, and they have received respect and admiration from all who
know them; and

WHEREAS,
In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the
rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the
Monroe Central High School boys basketball team have gained
discipline and perseverance that will help them in all aspects of
their lives; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to
the Monroe Central High School boys basketball team as the 2025
Division VI State Champion and honor all those who contributed to the
success of this fine squad; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Monroe Central High
School boys basketball team.
