A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Norwalk High School cheer team as a 2025 OASSA State Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Norwalk High School
cheer team on securing first place in the Division 3 game day
non‑building small category at the 2025 Ohio Association of
Secondary School Administrators State Cheer Championships; and

WHEREAS,
An extremely talented group of young athletes, the members of the
Norwalk High School cheer team have certainly distinguished
themselves as one of the finest squads in Ohio. Under the capable
direction of their coaches, they performed admirably in their
respective division at this year’s OHSCCA Best in the State
Championships, earning first place in the building high school
category for their traditional routine to advance to the OASSA State
Championships, where they won the Division 3 game day non-building
small category and were the runner-up in the Division 3 building
category. They are certainly deserving of applause; and

WHEREAS,
The members of the Norwalk High School cheer team have
conscientiously applied themselves to the quest for excellence, and
time and again, they have risen to the occasion, maintaining their
morale, composure, and good sportsmanship. Clearly, their
enthusiastic involvement in competitive cheerleading has enabled them
to learn much about dedication, self-discipline, and leadership, and
in the process, their exceptional prowess has made their families,
friends, and coaches very proud; and

WHEREAS,
The members of the Norwalk High School cheer team have consistently
demonstrated the talent, confidence, and motivation that are the
hallmarks of true champions, and they have earned the respect of even
their most determined rivals. The maturity and experience which the
students have gained through their participation in this sport will
undoubtedly assist them in meeting the challenges of the future;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the
Norwalk High School cheer team for exemplary achievement and salute
the members as some of Ohio’s finest young citizens; and be it
further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Norwalk High School
cheer team.
