Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the
Sandusky Lions Club on its Centennial; and

WHEREAS,
Over the years, the Sandusky Lions Club has consistently displayed
volunteerism, community service, and civic engagement. Chartered on
July 1, 1925, it is one of only two Lions clubs worldwide to be

individuals with vision needs and to build a stronger, more inclusive
community through its various activities and projects; and

WHEREAS,
Due to the tremendous effort and initiative it has exhibited, the
Sandusky Lions Club has grown significantly during the last century,
and this noteworthy organization is certainly deserving of
acknowledgement. This special anniversary offers a unique opportunity
to reflect on the group’s tradition of success and to look with
optimism to the future; and

WHEREAS,
It is not surprising that the Sandusky Lions Club has achieved
widespread recognition, for it has far surpassed the expectations of
its founders. Indeed, it exemplifies the essence of the American
spirit of generosity and service and sets the standard to which other
such organizations can aspire; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate
the Sandusky Lions Club on the occasion of its Centennial and salute
its members as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further

That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Sandusky Lions Club.
