A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Rania Brown as the 2025 Division I State Discus Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Rania Brown, a recent
graduate of Avon High School, on winning the 2025 Division I State
Track and Field Championship in the discus; and

WHEREAS,
Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and dedication
during the 2025 season, Rania Brown certainly distinguished herself
as one of the most talented throwers in Ohio. After winning the 2024
state championship in the discus, she once again prevailed in this
event at this year’s Division I State Meet with a mark of 153 feet,
4 inches, and she is deserving of the highest praise; and

WHEREAS,
Throughout intense training and preparation, Rania Brown has
consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation that
are the hallmarks of a true champion. She has inspired her teammates,
thrilled her fans, gained the respect of her opponents, and made her
coaches, family, and community proud; and

WHEREAS,
In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and
nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of
individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable
educational tool. Clearly, Rania Brown has learned much about
excellence as an athlete, and she has made a significant impact on
high school track and field in our state; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to
Rania Brown on her success and extend best wishes for the years
ahead; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Rania Brown.
