A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Brooke Chapman on winning a 2025 Division I State Track and Field
Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Brooke Chapman as the 2025
Division I State Champion in the girls 1,600-meter run; and

WHEREAS,
A diligent and capable individual, Brooke Chapman is deserving of
recognition for her exemplary accomplishments as a junior member of
the Olentangy Orange High School track and field team. At the 2025
Division I State Meet, she won first place in the girls 1,600-meter
run with a time of 4:46.58, and her notable record of personal
achievement stands as a hallmark for others; and

WHEREAS,
Through her participation in sports, Brooke Chapman has learned
important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good
sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her
throughout her life. Through her outstanding efforts, she has
inspired many people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and she
has set an example worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS,
In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and
nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of
individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable
educational tool. With sports contributing to the development of
countless youth, we are happy to congratulate such a fine athlete as
Brooke Chapman; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Brooke
Chapman on winning a Division I State Championship and extend best
wishes for continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Brooke Chapman.
