A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
C.J. Sanna on winning a 2025 Division I State Track and Field
Championship.
WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud C.J. Sanna as the 2025 Ohio
High School Athletic Association Division I State Track and Field
Champion in the boys discus; and
WHEREAS,
C.J. Sanna’s outstanding ability and spirited drive, as well as his
quickness and tenacity, have distinguished him as a superior athlete,
and during the season, he has gained the respect of all those who
have witnessed him in action. A junior at Olentangy High School, he
has proven himself to be one of the finest athletes in Ohio, as
evidenced by his first-place throw of 194 feet, 11 inches in the boys
discus at this year’s Division I State Track and Field Meet; and
WHEREAS,
Few sports embody the spirit of individual accomplishment more than
track and field, and athletes such as C.J. Sanna exemplify the
qualities necessary for excellence in any sport, including
discipline, agility, conditioning, and focus. Indeed, his exceptional
prowess has won him numerous admirers; and
WHEREAS,
In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the
rewards of individual effort, high school athletic competition has
become a valuable tool. Through his participation in sports, C.J.
Sanna has learned to meet challenges with enthusiasm and resolve;
therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize C.J.
Sanna on his outstanding achievement at the 2025 Division I State
Track and Field Meet and offer best wishes for the years ahead; and
be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to C.J. Sanna.
