A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
Ariannah Floyd as a 2025 Division II State Track and Field Champion.
WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Ariannah Floyd on
winning the 2025 Division II State Championship in the 300-meter
hurdles; and
WHEREAS,
A senior at Firelands High School, Ariannah Floyd has combined talent
and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship
to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With
admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining
ultimate proficiency in track and field, and as a result, she placed
first in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 42.76 seconds at this
year’s Division II State Meet; and
WHEREAS,
Ariannah Floyd’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of
competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection
not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches,
her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to
excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is
certainly worthy of high praise; and
WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay
tribute to Ariannah Floyd on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same
maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in
track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the
future; therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend
Ariannah Floyd as the 2025 Division II State Track and Field Champion
in the 300-meter hurdles and extend best wishes for continued
success; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Ariannah Floyd.
