A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Mary Lee Tucker Clothe-A-Child Fund on the occasion of its One
Hundredth Anniversary.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the
Mary Lee Tucker Clothe-A-Child Fund on its Centennial celebration;
and

WHEREAS,
Commemoration of this prestigious milestone is, indeed, a fitting
tribute to the Mary Lee Tucker Clothe-A-Child Fund, for throughout
the past one hundred years, it has achieved a praiseworthy record of
service to the area. Founded in 1924 by Rhea Soper Eddy, the
organization provides children with winter clothing and footwear, and
its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an
excellent reflection not only on the fund itself but also on its
coordinators, board members, volunteers, donors, and community; and

WHEREAS,
Since its inception, the Mary Lee Tucker Clothe-A-Child Fund has
enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area, and its
generous contributions have earned it the gratitude and respect of
the many citizens it has so capably served. We are certain that as
this fine endeavor maintains its unfaltering dedication to service,
it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has become its
hallmark; and

WHEREAS,
It is through the work of concerned citizens such as all those
affiliated with the Mary Lee Tucker Clothe-A-Child Fund that Ohio has
gained a reputation as a state whose residents are always ready to
extend a helping hand to those in need. The many individuals who have
been involved with the work of the society are to be commended for
their tremendous efforts to assist others, and they are deserving of
praise; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the
Mary Lee Tucker Clothe-A-Child Fund on its One Hundredth Anniversary
and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Mary Lee Tucker
Clothe-A-Child Fund.
