A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Pickerington High School Central girls 4x200-meter relay team on
placing first at the 2025 Division I State Meet.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the
Pickerington High School Central girls 4x200-meter relay team on
winning the 2025 Division I State Championship; and

WHEREAS,
The Pickerington High School Central girls 4x200-meter relay team has
achieved a tremendous feat in winning the state crown with a time of
1:37.32, and the culmination of an exemplary season was marked by
excellence. The Tigers’ strong performance, combined with an adept
drive to succeed, has led the squad to this outstanding victory, and
the group has earned the appreciation and admiration of many; and

WHEREAS,
The accomplishments and development of the Pickerington High School
Central girls 4x200‑meter relay team are fine examples of what
can be attained by a group of hard-working young people supported by
a dedicated coaching staff. Throughout extensive conditioning and
training, members Grace Alls, Gabbi Mattox, Serenity Franklin, and
Genesis Poke have developed into dynamic competitors, and they are
deserving of acknowledgement; and

WHEREAS,
With great admiration, we congratulate the athletes who comprise the
Pickerington High School Central girls 4x200-meter relay team, for
they have overcome many formidable opponents and displayed tremendous
prowess. Indeed, we are confident that as they meet their future
challenges, they will take with them the lessons of comradery,
diligence, and discipline; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, heartily
applaud the Pickerington High School Central girls 4x200-meter relay
team as the 2025 Division I State Champion and praise the strength of
this program and its participating athletes; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Pickerington High School
Central girls 4x200-meter relay team.
