A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Cole Evans on securing the 2025 Division I State Wrestling
Championship at 157 pounds.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Cole Evans as the 2025
Division I State Wrestling Champion in the 157-pound weight class;
and

WHEREAS,
Cole Evans’ accomplishments are truly noteworthy, for he has
clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his
mental and physical fortitude as a wrestler. As a member of the
Perrysburg High School wrestling team, which placed third at this
year’s Division I State meet, he has exemplified all of the
characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the
sports world, including courage, integrity, and an innate sense of
the principles of good sportsmanship, and as a result, he won his
third state championship; and

WHEREAS,
By developing such remarkable prowess in wrestling, Cole Evans has
earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of
countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals.
Indeed, his outstanding record of achievement is sure to inspire
future generations of Yellow Jackets; and

WHEREAS,
Wrestling is a sport which requires exceptional stamina and natural
ability, and Cole Evans is to be commended for his commitment to this
demanding activity. In attaining his athletic goals, he has certainly
distinguished himself as a true champion; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize Cole
Evans on his state wrestling championship and honor him as a fine
Ohioan; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Cole Evans.
