A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Norman G. Boyd as the 2025 National Big Brother of the Year.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Norman
G. Boyd on being named the 2025 National Big Brother of the Year by
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America; and

WHEREAS,
The National Big Brother of the Year designation is given to an
individual who embodies the spirit of volunteerism and mentoring
through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and this prestigious
honor is a fitting tribute to Norm Boyd for his exemplary work to
champion his little, Tyjon, for more than nine years. The respect and
admiration he has earned are clearly evident, and his accomplishments
are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not
only on him but also on his family and his community; and

WHEREAS,
A retired engineer and a former youth soccer coach for the Greater
Sycamore Soccer Association, Norm Boyd is truly a remarkable
individual, for he has combined civic concern and dedication with
selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader throughout his
community. His unfaltering devotion to service and achievement have
distinguished him as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan, and we
are certain that he will continue to display the same unwavering
commitment to excellence for which he has become known; and

WHEREAS,
Willingly giving of his time, energy, and abilities, Norm Boyd has
striven to better the world around him, and through his generous
contributions, he has gained the gratitude and esteem of many. We are
proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of people such
as he that the State of Ohio remains effective in meeting the needs
of its residents; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Norman
G. Boyd as the 2025 National Big Brother of the Year and salute him
as one of our state’s finest citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Norman G. Boyd.
