A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Wendy Zhan on her retirement as the director of the Ohio Legislative
Service Commission.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Wendy Zhan on the occasion of
her retirement from the Ohio Legislative Service Commission; and

WHEREAS,
Throughout her distinguished tenure with the Ohio Legislative Service
Commission, Wendy Zhan has upheld the highest standards of integrity
and dedication. Commencing her career with LSC as an intern, she
joined the Legislative Budget Office as a budget analyst with the
education group in 1995 and went on to serve as the division chief of
the education group and the director of budget and fiscal analysis
before being named the tenth director of the Legislative Service
Commission in 2019. In the performance of her duties, she has
demonstrated the utmost efficiency and competence, and she has
displayed a genuine commitment to meeting the varying and complex
needs of the legislature; and

WHEREAS,
The expertise that Wendy Zhan has shown, time and again, has gained
her the esteem of all those with whom she has worked, the respect of
legislators on both sides of the aisle, and the gratitude of the
public at‑large. She has consistently brought the full measure
of her enthusiasm and intelligence to her roles, and she has executed
her responsibilities with a degree of precision and discretion that
exceeded all expectations; and

WHEREAS,
In applauding Wendy Zhan for her steady leadership, we note with
pride that it is through the exemplary efforts of such dedicated
individuals that the Great State of Ohio remains responsive to its
citizens. It is our sincere hope that her sterling example of
analytical acumen and collaborative spirit will inspire future
generations to devote themselves similarly; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, extend special
recognition to Wendy Zhan for her exceptional service to the Ohio
Legislative Service Commission and to the State of Ohio and extend
best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Wendy Zhan.
