A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
McDonald High School on the Centennial of its football program.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize McDonald High School on the
auspicious occasion of its football program’s One Hundredth
Anniversary; and

WHEREAS,
Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to
McDonald High School’s football program, for throughout the past
century, it has established a proud, rich tradition on the gridiron.
Indeed, it has accorded countless young people with maturity and
experience that have greatly aided them in meeting their future
challenges; and

WHEREAS,
All those associated with McDonald High School’s football program
can be justly proud of its success. Known for their competitiveness,
the members and coaches of the Blue Devils football teams have
compiled more than six hundred wins and three state championships
during the history of the program; and

WHEREAS,
In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the
rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of
McDonald High School’s football program over the years have learned
lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good
sportsmanship that have undoubtedly been of tremendous benefit to
them throughout their lives; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate
McDonald High School on the One Hundredth Anniversary of its football
program and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it
further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to McDonald High School.
