A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
The University of Toledo women’s cross country team on winning the
2025 Mid-American Conference Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to salute The University of Toledo
women’s cross country team as the 2025 Mid-American Conference
Champion; and

WHEREAS,
Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, The University
of Toledo women’s cross country team is an impressive group of
athletes whose talent and teamwork are unmatched. At the 2025
Mid-American Conference Championship meet, the squad seized its
eleventh title with 32 points, becoming the winningest MAC program,
and this victory will be celebrated for many years to come; and

WHEREAS,
The members of The University of Toledo women’s cross country team
rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a dynamic force in
college sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes can be proud of the
accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved throughout the 2025
season; and

WHEREAS,
By remaining faithful to the highest standards of sportsmanship and
teamwork, the members of The University of Toledo women’s cross
country team primed themselves under the guidance of Head Coach
Andrea Grove-McDonough to secure this year’s MAC crown. Indeed, the
Rockets have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and
dedication in all of their endeavors; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize The
University of Toledo women’s cross country team on its success and
honor the athletes and coaches for their tremendous prowess; and be
it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to The University of Toledo
women’s cross country team.
