A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Robert Hinkle as he retires from the Ohio Auditor of State’s
Office.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Robert Hinkle on his
retirement as the chief deputy auditor for the Ohio Auditor of
State’s Office; and

WHEREAS,
Bob Hinkle is to be commended, for throughout his illustrious tenure
with the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office, he has completed an array
of challenging duties with genuine distinction. For more than forty
years, he has enthusiastically demonstrated his profound commitment
to our state, revealing a wealth of energy and expertise as a civil
servant. Without question, he has been one of Ohio’s most precious
assets, and he can be proud that his vision and vitality have
impelled many who know him to dedicate themselves similarly; and

WHEREAS,
The only chief deputy auditor to serve under four different Ohio
Auditors of State, Bob Hinkle is credited with developing and
implementing an electronic financial statement reporting system for
local governments and for leading the effort within the Auditor’s
Office to integrate data analytics and technology into audit
practices. Clearly, few of his colleagues can rival the depth and
duration of his allegiance to the State of Ohio, and in the wake of
his departure, he can be assured that his numerous contributions will
not be forgotten and that his fine character, keen intellect, and
decisive leadership will be sorely missed; and

WHEREAS,
We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed efforts and
deep commitment of conscientious people such as Bob Hinkle that the
State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Over the years, he has
striven to serve his fellow citizens to the best of his ability, and
we applaud him for his stellar career; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to
Robert Hinkle on his service to the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office
and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Robert Hinkle.
