A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Kaitlyn Carr as a 2025 Division IV State Cross Country Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Kaitlyn Carr on
winning the 2025 Division IV State Cross Country Championship; and

WHEREAS,
A student at Smithville High School, Kaitlyn Carr has combined talent
and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship
to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable
dedication, she has worked diligently to attain ultimate proficiency
in running, and as a result, she won this year’s Division IV State
Cross Country Championship with a course record time of 17:29.19; and

WHEREAS,
Kaitlyn Carr’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of
athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an
excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her
teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering
commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of
many, and she is certainly deserving of commendation; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to
Kaitlyn Carr on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and
experience she has gained through her participation in cross country
will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend
Kaitlyn Carr on her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio’s
finest young citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Kaitlyn Carr.
