A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Baylynn Bendik as a 2025 USA Track and Field Middle School Girls
Cross Country National Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Baylynn
Bendik on placing first at the 2025 USA Track and Field Middle School
Girls Cross Country National 4K Championship; and

WHEREAS,
Baylynn Bendik has clearly demonstrated her talent and perseverance,
as well as her mental and physical fortitude, and she is deserving of
acknowledgement. A seventh-grade student at Open Door Christian
School, she has exemplified all of the characteristics that are
essential for success both in and out of the sports world, including
courage, determination, and an innate sense of the principles of good
sportsmanship, and consequently, she placed first at the 2025 USA
Track and Field Middle School Girls Cross Country National 4K
Championship with a time of 14:35.9; and

WHEREAS,
Baylynn Bendik has conscientiously applied herself to the quest for
excellence as an athlete, training and practicing diligently in order
to ensure peak conditioning. Time and again, she has risen to the
occasion, maintaining her morale, composure, and good sportsmanship,
and she has gained the respect of even her most determined rivals;
and

WHEREAS,
Cross country is an event that requires exceptional stamina and
natural ability, and Baylynn Bendik is to be commended for her
commitment to this demanding sport. In attaining her athletic goals,
she has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the
hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate
Baylynn Bendik as the 2025 USATF Middle School Girls Cross Country
National 4K Champion and extend best wishes for continued success;
and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Baylynn Bendik.
