A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Edith Solet as the 2026 Ohio Fairs’ Queen.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Edith Solet on being
named the 2026 Ohio Fairs’ Queen; and

WHEREAS,
An intelligent, poised, and motivated young woman, Edith Solet has
developed her knowledge and skills and has labored diligently in
pursuit of her objectives. The 2025 Erie County Fair Queen, she is an
exemplary senior at Elyria Catholic School, and without question, she
has displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to attain
superior results. Through her unfaltering devotion, she has been
selected as this year’s Ohio Fairs’ Queen; and

WHEREAS,
Edith Solet has derived extra energy from her many activities and
accomplishments, such as her participation in various competitions at
the Erie County Fair, including showing animals and projects such as
cake decorating, leadership skills, health, safety, woodworking,
welding, and archery, and her integrity and steadfast determination
are truly admirable. Indeed, her amiable style and unquenchable
enthusiasm will be of great value to her in the years to come; and

WHEREAS,
The achievements of Edith Solet are a justifiable source of pride not
only for her family and friends but also for the entire Erie County
community. She has shown a sincere desire to fully develop her
talents so that she might fulfill her goals in the future, and this,
coupled with her maturity and initiative, shows her ability to excel
in all of her endeavors; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Edith
Solet on this special accolade and extend best wishes for continued
happiness and fulfillment; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Edith Solet.
