A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Dr. Robert Reynolds on being inducted into the 2026 National Bird Dog
Hall of Fame.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Dr. Robert Reynolds on
being selected as an inductee into the 2026 National Bird Dog Hall of
Fame; and

WHEREAS,
This prestigious honor is a fitting tribute to Robert Reynolds in
recognition of his exemplary contributions to breeding and training
bird dogs. A local veterinarian who had hunted with bird dogs for
many years, he became a top breeder and trainer for hunt tests and
field trials, with several of his animals winning national awards and
championships, and he also served as a judge of numerous high-profile
field trial events. A member of the Canfield Sportsman Club, he has
been active with the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Ohio since
1998, holding various posts and helping to restart the National
German Shorthaired Pointer Association of Ohio Championship in 2008,
and he served on the NGSPA Board for six years. He is, indeed, worthy
of acknowledgement; and

WHEREAS,
Robert Reynolds is truly deserving of high praise, for he has
combined civic concern and commitment with selfless initiative to
become a dynamic leader in the field trial community. Through his
unwavering dedication to excellence, he has certainly distinguished
himself as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan, and we applaud
him on his fine efforts; and

WHEREAS,
Robert Reynolds’ exceptional record of personal and professional
achievement stands as a hallmark worthy of emulation, and as a result
of his passion for the sport, he has inspired countless individuals
to excel in various areas of endeavor. The respect and admiration he
has earned throughout his life are clearly evident, and his
accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding
reflection not only on him but also on his family and his community;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Dr.
Robert Reynolds on his induction into the National Bird Dog Hall of
Fame and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it
further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dr. Robert Reynolds.
