A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Thomas Jenkins, Jr. on receiving a Presidential Award for Excellence
in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Thomas Jenkins, Jr., on
being presented with a Presidential Award for Excellence in
Mathematics and Science Teaching; and

WHEREAS,
Selection for this prestigious award is an honor of which Thomas
Jenkins can be justly proud, for he has been recognized for his
outstanding talents, his leadership skills, and his unwavering
devotion to his profession. A former STEM teacher at Greenon Local
Schools, he currently serves as the program manager for the
educational office at the National Museum of the United States Air
Force, and he has displayed a sincere dedication to educating and
inspiring the next generation of Ohio leaders; and

WHEREAS,
Willingly contributing his time, talent, and seemingly inexhaustible
energy to learners of all ages, Thomas Jenkins has demonstrated the
importance of education and the potential of each person to have a
positive effect on the quality of life in our society. His work truly
stands as the hallmark of concerned and responsible citizenship; and

WHEREAS,
Due to his exceptional efforts, Thomas Jenkins has helped to
guarantee a high level of success for all projects with which he has
been involved, and he has earned the respect and esteem of many. We
are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed commitment of
conscientious people such as he that the State of Ohio continues to
grow and prosper and remains responsive to the needs of its citizens;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Thomas
Jenkins, Jr., on his recent accolade and salute him as one of Ohio’s
finest educators; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Thomas Jenkins, Jr.
