A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
The Ohio State University club football team on winning the 2025
National Club Football Association Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize The Ohio State University
club football team as the 2025 NCFA Champion; and

WHEREAS,
The members of The Ohio State University club football team are
exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly
exceptional competitors. During their undefeated 2025 season, the
third in program history, the Buckeyes won their second consecutive
NCFA crown with a 28-8 victory against Coppin State. The unwavering
commitment of the players has earned them the esteem of many, and
they are certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
The Ohio State University club football team has demonstrated
remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication, and both the offensive
and defensive squads’ leadership and elite athleticism are a
reflection of the group’s outstanding traditions since joining the
NCFA in 2012. Indeed, the team has distinguished itself on the field,
and it is worthy of respect and admiration for its accomplishments;
and

WHEREAS,
In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the
rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of The
Ohio State University club football team have gained discipline and
perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to
The Ohio State University club football team as the 2025 NCFA
Champion and honor all those who contributed to the success of this
fine squad; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State University
club football team.
