A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
MaKenzie Love as the 2025 National Braille Challenge Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate MaKenzie Love on placing
first in the varsity division at the 2025 National Braille Challenge
Finals; and

WHEREAS,
A graduate of Teays Valley High School, MaKenzie Love has established
high personal goals and has striven to reach her full potential. A
person of tremendous intelligence and integrity, she can be
justifiably proud of her exemplary record of achievement at the 2025
National Braille Challenge Finals, where she won first place in the
varsity division and was presented with the Harley Fetterman Award
for Excellence in Charts and Graphs; and

WHEREAS,
Undaunted by challenges, MaKenzie Love has always pursued her
objectives with initiative and persistence, and with her vitality,
intelligence, confidence, and positive outlook, she has set a fine
example for her peers. The experience and self-confidence that she
has gained through her involvement in the Braille Challenge will no
doubt be of great benefit to her throughout her lifetime; and

WHEREAS,
MaKenzie Love’s accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride
and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family,
her alma mater, and her community. A five-time Ohio Braille Challenge
winner, a four-time National Braille Challenge finalist, and the
recipient of a variety of prestigious scholarships, she has exhibited
a sincere desire to do her best in all of her endeavors, and this,
coupled with her maturity and initiative, shows her potential to
become one of tomorrow’s leaders; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend
MaKenzie Love on her recent accolade and salute her as one of Ohio’s
finest young citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to MaKenzie Love.
