A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Brooklyn Talley as a 2026 Division II State Swimming Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Brooklyn Talley on
placing first in the 100‑yard freestyle at the 2026 Division II
State Meet; and

WHEREAS,
A freshman at Archbishop Carroll High School, Brooklyn Talley has
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of
good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young
athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward
attaining ultimate proficiency in swimming, and as a result, she won
first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.12 and second
place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.83 at this year’s
Division II State Meet; and

WHEREAS,
Brooklyn Talley’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out
of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine
reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her
coaches, and her Patriots school community. Her unwavering commitment
to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she
is certainly worthy of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay
tribute to Brooklyn Talley on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same
maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in
swimming will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the
future; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend
Brooklyn Talley as a 2026 Division II State Swimming Champion and
extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Brooklyn Talley.
