A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Ontario High School boys 200-yard freestyle relay team on winning
the 2026 Division II State Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Ontario High
School boys 200-yard freestyle relay team as the 2026 Division II
State Champion; and

WHEREAS,
Under the capable leadership of Coach Brooke Trumpower, the members
of the Ontario High School boys 200-yard freestyle relay team have
proven to be a talented and superbly conditioned squad and have
gained the respect of fans and opponents alike for their spirited and
highly motivated performance. Throughout the season, the swimmers
worked diligently to improve their skills in the pool, and as a
result, the Warriors accomplished their goals, bringing home this
year’s Division II State Championship title with a state tournament
record time of 1:24.32; and

WHEREAS,
Members Owen Walter, Jack Rietschlin, Colten Montgomery, and Grantham
Trumpower have developed into a remarkably efficient group of
athletes whose skill is equaled only by their exemplary display of
teamwork and sportsmanship. Indeed, they have exemplified the
characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of
competition, including courage, discipline, integrity, and good
sportsmanship, and their efforts are worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS,
The road to victory and a championship title is a difficult one,
requiring ability, endurance, teamwork, and a positive attitude on
the part of students and coaches alike. The outstanding athletes of
the Ontario High School boys 200-yard freestyle relay team have
earned the admiration of all those who have witnessed them in action;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate
the Ontario High School boys 200-yard freestyle relay team on
securing the 2026 Division II State Championship and commend everyone
associated with this exceptional squad; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ontario High School boys
200-yard freestyle relay team.
