A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
Nelson’s Body Shop on its Centennial.
WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to
Nelson’s Body Shop on the memorable occasion of its One Hundredth
Anniversary; and
WHEREAS,
Nelson’s Body Shop is worthy of acknowledgement, for throughout a
century of operation, it has attained a remarkable record of
accomplishment. In all of its endeavors, the venture has continually
demonstrated its exemplary commitment to the highest industry
standards, quality workmanship, and competitive pricing, and this
milestone is a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding
reflection not only on this family-owned business itself but also on
its astute management, on its diligent employees, and on the legacy
of its founder, Verling V. Nelson; and
WHEREAS,
Born in 1908, Verling Nelson was a remarkable individual who held a
deep passion and interest in the field of auto body work, and in
1926, he launched his own garage, Nelson’s Body Shop. In the years
that followed, he gained a fine reputation as an entrepreneur,
operating Wayne Sporting Goods Store and Wayne Motor Sales as well as
supporting his wife, Esther, in launching Nelson’s Restaurant, and
he was always willing to invest in the future of his community.
Clearly, he established a tradition of excellence that endures to
this day and that remains the hallmark of his family’s business;
and
WHEREAS,
The success of Nelson’s Body Shop can be attributed to the vision
and foresight of a host of innovative individuals, and all those who
have been involved with its growth over the years are to be applauded
on their tremendous efforts. Indeed, they have convincingly
demonstrated how very much can be accomplished by a group of
conscientious people with clear objectives and firm resolve, and it
is through the work of citizens such as these that Ohio remains a
pleasant place in which to live; therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend
Nelson’s Body Shop on its One Hundredth Anniversary and offer best
wishes for the future; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Nelson’s Body Shop.
