A R E S O L U T I O N

In
memory of Captain Seth R. Koval.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio extend our sincere sympathy to the family and
friends of Captain Seth R. Koval in their bereavement; and

WHEREAS,
Seth Koval was a truly unforgettable man whose words and actions
endeared him to everyone who knew him. A remarkable person who
understood kindness, joy, generosity, and loyalty and knew how to
communicate his beliefs and share his strengths, he confronted
challenges and adversity with an admirable spirit, and the legacy of
care and commitment he established will surely live on; and

WHEREAS,
A former member of the Indiana Air National Guard, Seth Koval joined
the Ohio Air National Guard in 2017, where he quickly gained a
reputation as an excellent pilot and instructor, and he was taking
part in Operation Epic Fury as a member of the 121st Air Refueling
Wing when he was killed in the line of duty. Indeed, he was devoted
to our country, and the ultimate sacrifice that he made to defend the
ideals of democracy will stand as a monument to his personal
character; and

WHEREAS,
Seth Koval’s selfless dedication to the welfare of others
distinguished him as an outstanding human being and a leading
citizen. It is our sincere hope that his memory will be a source of
comfort to those who loved and cherished him, including his wife,
Heather; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to
the memory of Captain Seth R. Koval; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of Captain Seth
R. Koval.
