A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Gwen Huddle as a 2026 OATCCC Division III State Indoor Track and
Field Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Gwen Huddle on winning
Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Division III
State Indoor Track and Field championships in the 1,600- and
3,200-meter runs; and

WHEREAS,
A student at Napoleon High School, Gwen Huddle has combined talent
and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship
to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With
admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining
ultimate proficiency in distance running, and as a result, she placed
first in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:53.50 and the
3,200-meter run with a time of 10:47.71 at this year’s OATCCC
Division III State Indoor Track And Field Meet; and

WHEREAS,
Gwen Huddle’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of
competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection
not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches,
her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to
excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is
certainly worthy of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to
Gwen Huddle on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and
experience she has gained through her participation in track and
field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Gwen
Huddle on her state championships and extend best wishes for
continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Gwen Huddle.
