A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Tyler Barnes as a 2026 Division III State Wrestling Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud Tyler Barnes on winning first
place in the 126-pound weight class at the 2026 Division III State
Wrestling Meet; and

WHEREAS,
Tyler Barnes has proven to be a talented and superbly conditioned
athlete who has gained the respect of fans and opponents alike for
his spirited and highly motivated performance in wrestling.
Throughout the season, he has worked diligently to improve his skills
on the mat, and as a result, he accomplished his goal of winning this
year’s Division III State Championship in the 126-pound weight
class and finished with a 44-3 overall record; and

WHEREAS,
Known as a driven and determined individual, Tyler Barnes has
developed into a remarkably dedicated and efficient wrestler whose
skill is equaled only by his exemplary display of sportsmanship.
Indeed, he is a credit not only to his family and Pike-Delta-York
High School but also to the superb leadership of his coaches,
Marc Nagel and Drew Mattin; and

WHEREAS,
The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring ability, endurance,
and a positive attitude on the part of athletes and coaches alike. In
all of his sports endeavors, Tyler Barnes has overcome a variety of
challenges, and his tremendous efforts have earned him the admiration
of all those who have witnessed him in action; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute Tyler
Barnes on his brilliant wrestling season and wish him the best in the
years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Tyler Barnes.
