resource, it completed an addition in 1977 and another addition and
renovation in 2000; and

Since its inception, the Orrville Public Library has fostered
education, culture, and individual growth and achievement by

instrument for community improvement, the library has earned the
respect and appreciation of countless patrons and has set an example
of excellence that is worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS,
Public libraries play an important role in today’s society, serving
as receptacles of shared knowledge, information, and ideas. They
provide a means of enjoyment, self-advancement, and intellectual
development for all individuals, and as repositories for the best of
our nation’s intellectual endeavors, they are vital to the
preservation of our country’s heritage, principles, and ideals. We
are proud to note that it is through the efforts of institutions such
as the Orrville Public Library that our state has maintained its
reputation as a friendly, productive, and pleasant place in which to
live and work; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the
Orrville Public Library on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend
