A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Waynedale High School wrestling team on winning the 2026 Division
III State Dual Championship.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Waynedale High School
wrestling team as the 2026 Division III State Dual Champion; and

WHEREAS,
The Waynedale High School wrestling team has proven to be a talented
and superbly conditioned squad and has gained the respect of fans and
opponents alike for the spirited and highly motivated performance of
its members. Throughout the season, the athletes worked diligently to
improve their skills on the mat, and as a result, the Golden Bears
accomplished their goals by defeating a tough Archbold team by the
score of 38-18 to bring home this year’s state dual championship,
their first duals title in program and Wayne County history; and

WHEREAS,
Known as a driven and determined team, the Golden Bears have
developed into a remarkably efficient group of wrestlers whose skill
is equaled only by their exemplary display of teamwork. They are a
credit not only to their families and their school but also to the
superb leadership of their head coach, Brenden Stanley; and

WHEREAS,
The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring ability, endurance,
and a positive attitude on the part of members and coaches alike. The
members of the Waynedale High School wrestling team have exemplified
all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and
out of competition, including courage, discipline, integrity, and
good sportsmanship, and their efforts have earned them the admiration
of all those who have witnessed these outstanding athletes in action;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the
Waynedale High School wrestling team on its 2026 Division II State
Dual Championship and extend best wishes for the years to come; and
be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Waynedale High School
wrestling team.
