A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
Ruby Remati and Keana Hunter as the 2026 U.S. Collegiate Champions in
the artistic swimming duet event.
WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Ruby Remati and Keana
Hunter on winning the 2026 U.S. Collegiate Championships duet event
in artistic swimming; and
WHEREAS,
Standout members of The Ohio State University artistic swimming team,
Ruby Remati and Keana Hunter are to be heartily commended, for by
scoring 264.0933 points, they decisively earned the 2026 U.S.
Collegiate Championship in the duet category. Without exception, the
duo prepared conscientiously in pursuit of this title, devoting
countless hours to training in order to ensure peak conditioning, and
clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends; and
WHEREAS,
Athletes such as Ruby Remati and Keana Hunter exemplify the qualities
necessary for excellence in any sport, including agility,
conditioning, and focus. Throughout long hours of practice and
competition, they have consistently demonstrated the talent and
motivation that are the hallmarks of true champions; and
WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing a key role in the total education
of youth, we are happy to salute Ruby Remati and Keana Hunter on an
exemplary season. Indeed, the maturity and experience they have
gained through their participation in artistic swimming will greatly
aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to
Ruby Remati and Keana Hunter on securing the 2026 U.S. Collegiate
Duet Championship in artistic swimming and offer best wishes for the
years to come; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit duly
authenticated copies of this Resolution to Ruby Remati and Keana
Hunter.
