A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
the Lorain Rotary Club on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the
Lorain Rotary Club on its Centennial, celebrated May 9, 2026; and
WHEREAS,
One hundred years is a distinctive milestone on which the Lorain
Rotary Club can enthusiastically celebrate its mission, for through
its philanthropic, civic, and social activities, it has enhanced the
quality of life in our society. Founded in 1926, this iconic club has
overcome challenges and persevered by remaining a relevant resource
for the community, and it has paid homage to its long and
distinguished history through its thoughtful outreach to the Lorain
area; and
WHEREAS,
One of many reasons that the State of Ohio continues to prosper is
because of organizations such as the Lorain Rotary Club. For a
century, this exemplary group has engaged in an array of worthwhile
activities and projects that have met a number of local needs, and we
are certain that it will continue to positively impact our state for
generations to come; and
WHEREAS,
The members of the Lorain Rotary Club can always be relied upon to
favor a worthy cause, and these exceptional people have made a
lasting impact on the community through their admirable resolve and
vision. We look with optimism to a society that will thrive as a
result of the initiative of all those who have comprised the
organization, both past and present; therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the
Lorain Rotary Club on its One Hundredth Anniversary and salute its
leadership and members as fine Ohioans; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Lorain Rotary Club.
