A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
the Ashland FFA floriculture team as the 2026 Ohio Floriculture
Career Development Event Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Ashland FFA
floriculture team on placing first overall in the 2026 Ohio
Floriculture Career Development Event; and

WHEREAS,
All those associated with the Ashland FFA floriculture team have
certainly distinguished themselves as remarkable individuals, and
they are deserving of commendation for placing first in this year's
Ohio Floriculture Career Development Event. Under the guidance of
their coach, Mary Cox, members Haley McNaull, Elise Frazer, Gwenyth
Miller, and Hannah McNaull have displayed a degree of determination
and motivation of which they can be proud, and they have set an
example of excellence that is worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS,
FFA combines the wisdom and leadership of adulthood with the
enthusiasm and optimism of youth so that our students will be better
prepared to assume meaningful, rewarding roles in society. The
maturity, self‑confidence, and knowledge that the members of
the Ashland FFA floriculture team have gained through their
participation in the program will no doubt be of great benefit to
them throughout their lifetimes, and it is not surprising that their
efforts have won them a host of admirers; and

WHEREAS,
The members of the Ashland FFA floriculture team warrant the highest
praise, for they have demonstrated exceptional diligence and
enthusiasm in preparing for the rigors of competition, as well as an
unwavering dedication to the goals and principles of the National FFA
Organization. We are certain that their future holds great promise;
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the
Ashland FFA floriculture team for outstanding achievement and extend
best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ashland FFA floriculture
team.
