To
urge Congress to designate the Honor and Remember Flag as a national
symbol to honor service members who died in the line of duty.

BE
IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

WHEREAS,
The United States lacks a universally recognized symbol honoring and
remembering the lives of all fallen service members and their
families; and

WHEREAS,
Since the Revolution, over one million Americans have given the
ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty; and

WHEREAS,
The Honor and Remember Flag created by Honor and Remember, Inc.
symbolizes the sacrifices made by the fallen and their families
through the flag's Red Field, symbolizing the sacrifice of blood
shed; its White Field, the purity of that sacrifice; its center Blue
Star representing a loved one on active duty; its Gold Star
overlaying the Blue signifying a loved one who had been killed; its
Folded Flag beneath the stars representing the flag that is handed to
each family at the memorial service of their loved one; the Flames
above, an eternal reminder that we will never forget; and the Three
Words below completing the tribute, to always Honor their sacrifices
and Remember them specifically by name; and

WHEREAS,
Twenty-nine states have recognized the Honor and Remember Flag as
their state's symbol of honoring and remembering the lives of all
fallen service members and their families; and

WHEREAS,
H.R. 1363, the Honor and Remember Flag Recognition Act, was
introduced in the United States House of Representatives to
officially designate a national symbol for honoring and remembering
the lives of all fallen service members and their families; and

WHEREAS,
The Problem Solvers Caucus, a bipartisan group of United States
Representatives, endorsed H.R. 1363 on February 19, 2026; now
therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of the State of Ohio, urge the Congress of the
United States to enact H.R. 1363, otherwise known as the Honor and
Remember Flag Recognition Act, to designate the Honor and Remember
Flag as a national symbol to honor service members who died in the
line of duty; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit duly
authenticated copies of this resolution to the President of the
United States, the Speaker and Clerk of the United States House of
Representatives, the President Pro Tempore and Secretary of the
United States Senate, the members of the Ohio Congressional
delegation, and the news media of Ohio.
