A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring
Morgan Johnson as a 2026 Division III State Track and Field Champion.
WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Morgan Johnson on
winning the 2026 Division III State Championship in the girls high
jump; and
WHEREAS,
A junior at Woodward High School, Morgan Johnson has combined talent
and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of sportsmanship to
establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With
admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining
ultimate proficiency in track and field, and as a result, she placed
first in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 7 inches at this year's
Division III State Meet; and
WHEREAS,
Morgan Johnson's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of
competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection
not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coaches,
her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to
excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is
certainly worthy of high praise; and
WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to
Morgan Johnson on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and
experience she has gained through her participation in track and
field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future;
therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Morgan
Johnson as the 2026 Division III State Track and Field Champion in
the girls high jump and extend best wishes for continued success; and
be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Morgan Johnson.
