A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Zion Lutheran Church on its Bicentennial.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Zion
Lutheran Church on the memorable occasion of its Two Hundredth
Anniversary; and

WHEREAS,
Zion Lutheran Church has been an important place of worship in the
Tipp City community since 1826, and it has endured by finding
commonality in prayer, worship, and fellowship among its
congregation. For the past two centuries, this House of God has
served as a tremendous source of spiritual inspiration, and it has
encouraged countless people to pursue lives of service, learning, and
faith; and

WHEREAS,
This auspicious celebration offers the members of Zion Lutheran
Church the opportunity to share their memories and to reflect on the
benefits of life in their close-knit community, which has come to be
associated with being "Rooted in Christ. Growing in Faith."
Under the guidance of their fine religious leaders, both past and
present, the parishioners have expanded on the best traditions of the
past to ensure a benevolent and prosperous future, and they can be
proud of the remarkable examples they have set through their values
and principles; and

WHEREAS,
The members of Zion Lutheran Church have stood strong in the face of
numerous challenges, and they have had a positive impact on the lives
of many local residents. Indeed, this milestone represents their
dedication and commitment to keeping the institution alive in the
surrounding community, and all those associated with this beacon of
society are deserving of high praise; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Zion
Lutheran Church on its Two Hundredth Anniversary and offer best
wishes as it upholds its rich legacy of faith and fellowship in the
years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Zion Lutheran Church.
