A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring
Hayden Hollingsworth as a 2025 OHSAA Division I Swimming Champion.

WHEREAS,
The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General
Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Hayden Hollingsworth on
winning the 2025 OHSAA Division I Championship in the 50-yard
freestyle event; and

WHEREAS,
A student at Upper Arlington High School, Hayden Hollingsworth has
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of
good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional
athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently to
attain ultimate proficiency in swimming, and as a result, she won the
Division I State Championship title in the 50-yard freestyle event
for the third straight year, finished second in the 100-yard
butterfly event, and was a member of the championship-winning
200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay teams; and

WHEREAS,
Hayden Hollingsworth’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and
out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an
excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her
teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering
commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of
many, and she is certainly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS,
With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total
education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to
Hayden Hollingsworth on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same
maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in
swimming will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the
future; therefore be it

RESOLVED,
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th
General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Hayden
Hollingsworth on her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio’s
finest young citizens; and be it further

RESOLVED,
That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Hayden Hollingsworth.
